Kim McGuinness is owner and Managing Director of Network Central, founder of the Businesswomen’s Breakfast Series and one of Australia’s leading commentators on networking style and practice. Kim has been Master of Ceremonies at hundreds of events and has interviewed and presented hundreds of inspiring leaders and educators through Network Central giving her a unique opportunity to observe the patterns of successful leadership.
Kim believes networking is much more than shaking hands and that it can be a massive timewaster if not handled correctly and truthfully. Kim speaks from the heart and has built an extremely loyal and successful following through her five star events and programs since 1999. Kim also coaches many of her 10,000+ subscribers on creating strong networks, authentic leadership, business development, branding and management. A huge believer in the value of mentoring, Kim also co-runs a yearly Mentor Program through Network Central where she aligns senior experienced leaders with up and coming managers.Kim has developed training programs for clients such as Westpac and others and presents at conferences such as Flying Solo, Microbiz week, Women in Politics, Thoughtleaders and the Women, Management and Work Conference by Macquarie University and others. Members and clients are from a diverse range of companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Australia Post, Pfizer, NRMA, Toyota Financial Services, Macquarie University, Lenovo, IBM, Microsoft and many others.
Prior to establishing Centrum Events Pty Ltd and Network Central in 1999, Kim has had a strong career in marketing and management in both the UK and Australia. Kim certainly brought her entrepreneurial flair to the workplace by establishing many successful programs and initiatives.
Kim has tertiary qualifications in Business (Marketing) and has completed postgraduate courses in Psychology and Information Technology.
Kim is co-author of Network or Perish – Learn the Secrets of Master Networkers and is featured in Secrets of Inspiring Women Exposed which was released in 2007.
